Is Winter Almost Over?

Signs are appearing, at least here in the south, that winter
is passing us by. Warm breezes (see my Profile photos! ) and that hint of Spring - yes. I know that Europe and even
my beloved Germany are still in the depths of the cold and
the short days. But - take heart!
We shall all be in the sunshine of God in a few weeks. Ja?
Okay - and does the weather affect your mood? A little?
A lot?
Lack of sunshine can be psychological; and have depressing results.
This has been proven and there is a name for this:
SAD - Seasonal Affected Disorder - clever acronym, yes? And it is so *apt*.
But - cheer up; you have new friends here at GFF! Put a comment here if you wish - you can tell us all how YOU are coping with Winter!

How is your own search going?
Are you meeting friends here? Are they the kind you
had hoped for?
Do you sometimes get exasperated with all those who do not
live up to your expectations? Right... I know what you mean.
You sometimes wonder, "Is anyone out there for REAL?"
Why do they seem very interested on one day and then - POOF...
nothing after that?
I can only say good friends can be found at this Site - honest!
They may not all turn out to be the *romantic Dream* -  but,
they can be just as valuable.
After all, true friends are hard to find. True friends are
rare and highly valuable. Wherever they may live.
While you are waiting for - maybe>> - think about "just" a friend.

Language and Romance

Can you overcome language in your pursuit? What if she or he doesn't speak your language perfectly?
Does it really matter about all that? Can you *find a way* to communicate, and forget about all that grammar?
Would it be exciting to learn as you go along - his or her language; while they learn yours? Would it be fun to use signs and write notes to be translated in little phrase books? Well...
I think it can be truly *romantic* to do all that. Isn't it the PERSON - the INDIVIDUAL who matters, not the language anyway?
And - a kiss or a caress is so very *very* UNIVERSAL! N'est pas?
Who doesn't understand a tender kiss or an embrace? Grand est l'amour et grande est l'affection! What do you think amigos and amigas? I would be curious to know! Your opinion is what matters!

Love and Politics?

Do you follow politics closely? Or are you bored by it all?
Some people have a problem with politics and love. That is, they would only get together in a serious way with someone who held their own political beliefs. Of course, that approach cuts down your possibilities substantially. So many differing views! Right, left, Independent, small party, big party, male candidate, female candidate... what a decision to make! Could you get serious about someone with your *opposite* politicial views? Would you refuse a relationship or block love, because of that? Interesting choices to make, yes?
Let me know what you think. My own response is - if the potential partner was right in every other way - I could FORGET politics!
